SUBMISSIONS

The organizing committee invites authors to submit abstracts for presentations on any of the eight topics of IFAU2019:

  1. GLOBAL / LOCAL MODERNIZATION’S
  2. XXth CENTURY MODERNISM AND THE QUESTION OF CULTURAL HERITAGE
  3. PHENOMENA OF RE-GENERATION, REVITALIZATION, RECYCLE, REUSE
  4. MODERNIZATION/ GLOBALIZATION OF URBAN PLANNING/DESIGN AND LANDSCAPES
  5. MODERN HOUSING
  6. MODERN DESIGNING AND DAILY LIFE / UNIVERSAL DESIGN
  7. UTILIZATION OF FUTURE TECHNOLOGIES
  8. SUSTAINABILITY IN THE ERA OF MODERNIZATION/ GLOBALIZATION

Submissions are sought for oral presentation or poster presentation. Authors must select the type of presentation during the registration process at IFAU 2019 website www.fau.edu.al.

DATES AND PLACE

The IFAU 2019 – International Forum on Architecture and Urbanism – Modernization and Globalization will take place in Tirana (Albania) at the Polytechnic University of Tirana – Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism (FAU) on November 21st – 23rd, 2019.

The Forum has a wide Board of Scientific Advisers of very high level to guarantee the quality of the event. Internationally known Key-note speakers will be invited to the Forum for the lectures, together with academics and scholars who work within the field of research.

The Detailed program of lectures and events will be published after the submission deadline.

The organizing committee invites authors to submit abstracts for Paper or Poster presentations on any of the five topics previously indicated and that will be soon further described.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION (Papers and Posters)

Authors are invited to submit Abstracts for Papers/Posters by July 21st, 2019.

Abstracts of Papers should be text only, up to 300 words long, written in Italian or English, using the template. Aside from the abstract, please provide at least 3 keywords and choose the session of the conference that fits the subject of your paper.

Abstracts of Posters should include research work presented as a text – maximum 300 words written in Italian or English – and should include drawings, images, and diagrams, following the attached template. Aside from the abstract, please provide at least three keywords and choose the main topic of the conference that fits the subject of your research poster.

Authors will be informed about the acceptance of the Abstracts for Papers/Posters by July 30th, 2019 

FINAL SUBMISSION (Papers and Posters)

Authors with accepted abstract papers are invited to submit the Final Papers/Posters by September 05th, 2019

Extended deadline for the Final Papers/Posters by September 22nd, 2019

Authors are asked to respect and use established font and styles, with a full Paper that will include text, images and diagrams and not exceed eight pages (including bibliography and notes, etc.).

The final Papers will be reviewed by two members of the Scientific Committee in peer review.

Posters involve visually presented research studies- size A1 vertical – will include a synthetic text written in Italian or English and could include drawings, images, and diagrams to help readers and forum attendees to understand its content. The posters will be exhibited during the Forum. Posters must indicate:

  • the main research goals
  • the methodology
  • the outcomes and ­ achievements and considerations.
  • author/s, affiliations to Faculty or Departments and title of the Poster

Two members of the Scientific Committee will validate posters.
